How do I make an appointment?

Simply call our office at 619- 294-2622 during working hours, 8am - 6pm, M-F. Saturday treatments are also available.


Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. To schedule your free 15-minute consultation, call us at 619- 294-2622. At your appointment we’ll learn why you’re seeking medical care, answer your questions about our services and programs, and determine how we can help you


May I ask a question using email?

As Oriental Medicine is a complete medical system, with many diagnoses we can only give general answers over the email. For a specific and complete diagnosis we request that you schedule a consultation.


Does acupuncture hurt?

No. The needles used are very fine and pain is rarely ever felt.


Why should I use Herbal Medicine?

Herbal Medicine is a natural and effective way to treat the body. Herbs are plants and substances found in the natural world, which have properties to heal disease and prevent illness. There are over 400 substances used in Chinese Medicine. The Oriental Medical Doctor will mix several powdered herbs together for the patient to drink as a tea. At Oriental Medical Associates, we customize formulas for people's individual conditions, using only high-quality, professional products. Herbal Medicine is available in the form of Teas, Tablets, Tinctures and Powders.


Can you handle Workers' Compensation cases?

Acupuncturists are Primary Care Physicians under the California Workers' Compensation (WC) System. Under the Industrial Medical Council Guidelines for treatment, Acupuncture is recommended for many Sprain and Strain-type injuries.

The Acupuncturists at Oriental Medical Associates are also Qualified Medical Evaluators under the Workers’ Compensation System. Should you have any questions as to how to receive Acupuncture under the WC system, please call our office to talk with one of the Acupuncturists.
